I went to Cathy several weeks before I was due to record vocals for my first album. I had done vocal coaching before but in the spirit of what I was trying to achieve I needed a new, different and mindful approach to vocals.
In a live scenario I was confident but when it came to the studio it was becoming hard to recreate due to a lack of confidence. Going to Cathy instilled new confidence.
Cathy taught me how to relax and believe through mindfulness of breath and the physicality of what is actually happening when you sing. The warm up techniques became routine and second nature.
The mindfulness while delivering the vocals fit me and the body of work that I had created perfectly. I have now changed my approach permanently and enjoy singing more in both live and studio capacity
